Barton Shield (National Finals)
Kilkenny captured the Barton Shield in Tullamore Golf Club in 2009
Commemorating the former GUI President, the Hon. Mr. Justice Barton, the first club to win the Shield was Portmarnock, in 1920. Clubs are represented by two foursomes pairings, playing off scratch. The 2010 Cups and Shields National Finals take place at Castlebar Golf Club from 15th-18th September.
Monday, 13th September: Barton Shield practice 13.00 to 13.56 Tuesday, 14th September: Barton Shield practice 09.30 to 10.26 Wednesday, 15th September: Barton Shield Semi-Finals: Thursday, 16th September: Barton Shield Final: Presentation of Junior Cup & Barton Shield 30 Minutes after play completed N.B. GUI retains the right to alter starting times of Semi-Finals & Finals as necessary.
