Jimmy Bruen Shield (National Finals)
Nenagh captured the Jimmy Bruen Shield in Tullamore Golf Club in 2009
Ireland's amateur golf legend is commemorated by the Jimmy Bruen Shield, inaugurated in 1978 when Stackstown won the first competition. Clubs are represented by five teams of four, the minimum individual handicap being 6 and the minimum combined 17. The 2010 Cups and Shields National Finals take place at Castlebar Golf Club from 15th-18th September.
Wednesday, 15th September: Jimmy Bruen practice 12.50 to 14.50 Thursday, 16th September: Jimmy Bruen practice 13.40 to 15.40 Friday, 17th September: Jimmy Bruen Shield Semi-Finals: Saturday, 18th September: Jimmy Bruen Shield Final: Presentation 15 Minutes after play completed N.B. GUI retains the right to alter starting times of Semi-Finals & Finals as necessary.
