Cups & Shields

Senior Cup (National Finals)

Instituted in 1900, when Dublin University won it for the first time, the Senior Cup is the most coveted trophy in club golf. Teams consist of five players in singles matchplay, off scratch. The figure on the lid is that of Fred G. Tait.

Galway captured the Senior Cup in Tullamore Golf Club in 2009

The 2010 Cups and Shields National Finals take place at Castlebar Golf Club from 15th-18th September.

Wednesday, 15th September:

Senior Cup practice 15.00 to 15.56

Thursday, 16th September:

Senior Cup practice 12.30 to 13.30

Friday, 17th September:

Senior Cup Semi-Finals:
08.30 hours Bandon v Co Sligo
09.20 hours Kilkenny v Lurgan

Saturday, 18th September:

Senior Cup Final:
09.00 hours

Presentation 15 Minutes after play completed
