Lytham Trophy
Jeff Hopkins finished the best of the Irish players finishing in tied second with a total score of 304. The overall winner was Jack Senior of Heysham Golf Club with a score of 299. The six players selected by the Golfing Union of Ireland to compete in the Lytham Trophy at Royal Lytham and St Annes Golf Club from 29th April to 1st May were:
Paul Cutler (Portstewart), Alan Dunbar (Rathmore), Paul Dunne (Greystones), Luke Lennox (Moyola Park), Dermot McElroy (Ballymena) and Kevin Phelan (Waterford Castle).
