Castlebar Lift Junior Foursomes
Castlebar Golf Club captured the Irish Junior Foursomes title at City of Derry Golf Club today (Monday) following a comprehensive victory over Munster champions Mallow.
Having overcome the challenge of local club Moyola Park in the semi finals on Monday morning by 5 holes, they accounted for Mallow by the same margin in the afternoon.
Mallow, who had beated the Leinster qualifiers Borris by the slimmest of margins, lost the top match in the final by 5 holes, and the second match was called in while all square.
