Michael Coote 2nd in Portuguese Seniors Amateur Open.

Michael Coote finished in second place at the Portuguese Seniors Amateur Open at Estoril Golf Club in Portugal.

The Tralee member Coote had rounds of 71, 76 and 71 for a total of 218, the event was won by Glyn Rees of Wales with a total of 217.

Hugh Smyth was a few shots behind in fifth place on 222, Maurice Kelly and Adrian Morrow finished on 225.
