Trubshaw Cup & Golden Eagle

Gary Hurley was this year's winner of the Golden Eagle Trophy which took place on Saturday 28th April.  Gary had two fantastic gross rounds of 72 in what proved to be very testing scoring conditions. Gary McDermott had a score of 149 but lost out receiving a prize on count back.  Rounds 3 and 4 of the Trubshaw Cup due to be played at Ashburnham Golf Club on the 29th had to be cancelled due to severe weather conditions.

The six players selected by the Golfing Union of Ireland to compete in the Trubshaw Cup at Tenby & Ashburnham Golf Clubs from 28-29 April were: Gary Hurley (West Waterford), Patrick McCrudden (Royal Portrush), Gary McDermott (Co. Sligo), Ryan McKinstry (Cairndhu), Steffan O'Hara (Co. Sligo), Stephen Walsh (Baltinglass).
