Athlete Support Programme
Sport NI has launched the 2010 Athlete Support Programme.
The programme is designed to support elite athletes of all sports in the following categories;
World Class
International
Junior / Developmental - Under 21
The Golfing Union of Ireland (Ulster Branch) has agreed with Sport NI the criteria for entry into the categories listed above - this can be obtained by selecting the link to the bottom of this page.
Any golfer who considers that they meet the criteria for any of these categories should contact Kevin Stevens General Secretary Golfing Union of Ireland (Ulster Branch) by email info@gui-ulster.co.uk or by telephone 028 9049 1891.
If agreed the athlete part of the overall application (see link at the bottom of this page) should be completed and returned to the Ulster Branch Office at Unit 5, Forestgrove Business Park, Newtownbreda Road, Belfast BT8 6AW.
The Golfing Union of Ireland (Ulster Branch) has submitted a joint claim to cover all male amateur golfers
If you do not currently meet the criteria for entry onto the programme but at some stage during the 2010 season achieve the required standard you can then be included on the programme (subject to funding being in place), once again contact Kevin Stevens with details.
